Queer Camp is a nonprofit program operating on a limited budget. We do our best to keep camp fees affordable, but we understand that not everyone can pay the full registration fee, so we provide partial or full scholarships based on financial need. We ask that you be honest in disclosing what you feel you feasibly can or cannot afford. If you can pay anything at all towards your camper's registration fee, that will help us cover our operating expenses!
To request a scholarship, complete this Scholarship Application fully and honestly BEFORE you submit the Camper Registration Form. After our team has processed your scholarship application, you will receive a scholarship code to use on the Registration Form. You can then fill out the Registration Form and submit your unique code to reduce or eliminate the registration fee according to your partial or full scholarship award.
We understand that disclosing information about things like gender, sexual orientation, racial/ethnic background, citizenship status, and financial status are deeply personal. When possible, we have opted to make these questions optional, but some of this information is required to process your scholarship application.
We respect your right to privacy and will take all possible precautions to protect the information you provide in this form. All responses to this application are viewed only by a select few Queer Camp staff who review and process your application. After that, the information is anonymized so it can be used to generate camp reports, and use those reports to seek financial aid for Queer Camp (like grants or business sponsorships). The more information we have, the more financial aid we are eligible to receive. This allow us to keep camp costs low and provide more scholarships. So, providing this information increases all campers' opportunities for scholarships!

You must fill out this Scholarship Application and receive confirmation of application status before you can fill out the Camper Registration Form. After processing your application, our team will send you an email awarding your scholarship with a Scholarship Code. You can then input this code on the Camper Registration Form in order to reduce or eliminate the registration fee according to your scholarship award.
